Time to tile
Pop art is not just a style of art, but an attitude to life. Advertising and comics are also closely related to pop culture, which were both the motivation and
inspiration for my first major art project in 2016 wich I named TIME FOR TILING.
The way the artworks were created can simply be described as sampling. Actually, this term comes from music, but it also reflects the creation of my works quite
well. I took images, graphics and photos from advertisements or comics and put them together in a collage and a new visual context.
I am showing the finished collages on tiles embedded in hand cast concrete frames. It's time for tiling!
